Ginko

Ginko biloba

Originally from China, it's been imported to the US since the mid 1700's. This is an extremely drought and pollution tolerant tree, hence it's grown all over in New York City. It's cold hardy enough to be cultivated at high elevations. The leaves are used for memory enhancement. Of course one must remember to consume a small amount regularly (ha ha).
