Argemone mexicana

Mexican Prickly Poppy

Perennial: Yellow blooms begin in June and continue until frost begins. Our extract contains no trace of mature or immature seeds. What we have is latex, first collected by slicing the 1 inch diameter stems, it is then collected by using a soft piece of leather to get the latex to stick; once a sufficient amount of latex is collected it's then scraped off the leather with a sharp tool; from this is it purified in water to remove all the tiny partials of leaves and other plant pieces. Then allowed to dry in an oven at a temperature of 175 Fahrenheit until it turns to dry bubbly crystals.
